Cover three price levels
Add a few small gifts, a few mid-range gifts and one or two larger ones. This lets a colleague and a close friend both find something that fits.
Add the information that prevents a return
Size, colour, edition, model number. "Running shoes, size 42, the wide fit" is a gift someone can buy with confidence. "Shoes" is a question.
Mix links and notes
Paste a product link when you know the exact item. Add a note when you do not: "Any book by this author", "A plant, not cut flowers".
Manual gifts work for tickets, dinners and handmade things. A price is optional, so you can add the idea without a number.
Share it with the people who ask
Send the link in a message: "Here is my list if you are stuck. A card is also perfect." You can send the same link to family and friends; it does not change.
Update it after the day
Remove what you received, or keep the list for next year. A reservation stays until the guest undoes it from the same browser, or until you remove the gift.
